This is the service that guarantees the supply of wheelchairs, orthopaedic beds, walkers, prosthetic limbs, eye and hearing aids, corsets, collars, etc. In order to obtain authorization, a prescription from a specialist doctor working in a public facility is required, which must be presented to the Prosthetic Assistance Office of the Social and Health District to which the person belongs, together with the disability report (where necessary). 

Some devices can be provided by the ASL, while customized devices must be provided by an authorized supplier who will issue an estimate to be presented to the Prosthetic Assistance Office together with the prescription. 

In all cases, the application must be made using the "Application form for prosthetic assistance", which can be obtained from the offices responsible for this service.
